NEWTON, September 4, 2024 --The 2023-24 North Carolina state test results show continued gains for students across most grades and subjects according to the 2023-24 state test results presented to the State Board of Education today. Catawba County Schools performs well, shows increases in growth and proficiency.

On May 30, 2024, Catawba County Schools celebrated its dedicated employees during the district-wide "Finish Line Fuel Up" event at CVCC's Tarlton Complex. The event saw enthusiastic participation from all CCS employees, who brought their best school spirit to the celebration.

NEWTON, May 19, 2025 — Catawba County Schools Superintendent Dr. Matt Stover has announced the appointment of Brett Huffman as the district’s new Director of Transportation. The Board of Education confirmed the appointment during its regularly scheduled meeting Monday night. Mr. Huffman will officially assume his new role on July 1, 2025.
